Don Quixote by British comic artist Rob Davis.
Yesterday I got my copy of Davis’ first Don Quixote book and it is just fantastic! I had to laugh all the time while reading it. I guess that this is mostly due to De Cervantes’ writing, but please don’t underestimate Mister Davis’ work on this new version of the classic story.
The book looks beautiful, every page is filled with great drawings and I really love the coloring too. I also love Rob Davis’ take on these classic characters. This book was actually ‘inked’ with pencil which I felt added a nice grittines to the lines. It also suits the old, banged-up character of the hero quite well.
So yeah, I’ll be anxiously waiting for Voulme 2!
